Solid hardwood flooring is a great investment having an overall lifespan of 80 - 100 years. Solid Prefinished
flooring, unlike the unfinished hardwood, is finished at the factory. So there is no sanding, staining and
finishing after installation. Further, the factory finish is more durable than finish that can be applied on
location after installation. Just as with the unfinished variety, to renew the floors youthful appearance,
Solid Prefinished hardwood can be sanded and refinished several times based on its thickness.
Solid wood is moisture and temperature sensitive! Solid wood flooring will perform best between 60-80º F
and a relative humidity between 30-50%. Temperatures and moisture outside of theses ranges may cause
shrinkage or swelling. Due to this sensitivity, solid wood floors should only be installed at or above
